Physics is the basis of all sciences, it deals with energy, matter, space and time. It is the driving force behind innovation and invention, and physics-based knowledge is the key to success in almost all fields of science, engineering and technology. Physics also has many applications in many non-technical fields, such as biology, physiology or medicine.

The aim of the Department of Physics at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the BUT is to contribute to the fulfillment of the above-mentioned words. We prefer practical teaching, logical study and modern thinking. Our goal is not to torment the student, but to enrich him with knowledge and application knowledge that he will apply in his further studies and in practice.
